Heating the Warm Pack up

There are two ways to heat up the warm pack.

a) Heating it up in hot water:
1. Put the warm pack into a receptacle containing water heated to a maximum of 80 °C. ATTENTION: The warm pack may never touch a hot metal surface, e.g. the bottom of a cooking pot, as it would be damaged through that.

2. After a maximum of one minute, the warm pack has reached its optimal temperature for applying it. You may now extract the warm pack from the hot water using tongs or a similar tool and dry them off afterwards.

ATTENTION: Do not extract the warm pack with your bare hands! Danger to burn yourself in that process!

3. Test the warm pack’s temperature carefully by touching your lower arm with it before applying it fully. In case the warm pack is too hot to apply, let it cool off until it reached a temperature pleasant to the skin.
4. When the warm pack’s temperature is right, insert it into the cool-pockets of the cool&move® bandage previously pulled up to the appropriate joint.

b) Heating it up in a microwave oven:
1. Please place the warm pack on a plate suitable for use in a microwave oven.

2. Start the microwave oven using the defrost program (maximum of 180 watts) and leave it on for a about 1,5 minutes.

ATTENTION: Do not leave the warm pack unattended when heating it up. In case the product bloats, immediately turn off the microwave oven and check the warm pack for damages incurred. i When warm pack starts to bloat, stop the heating process immediately and use a lower wattage program. If defect, the warm pack may not be used anymore.

3. Extract the warm pack using oven cloth or another suitable type of cloth from the microwave oven after the program set has finished. Test the warm pack’s temperature carefully by touching your lower arm with it before applying it fully. In case the warm pack is too hot to apply, let it cool off until it reached a temperature pleasant to the skin. In case the warm pack is not warm/hot enough, heat it up in the microwave oven again using 10 second increments.
4. When the warm pack’s temperature is right, insert it into the cool-pockets of the cool&move® bandage previously pulled up to the appropriate joint.
